What are you reading atm?

I think it might be cool to have a loose topic to update each other on what we are currently reading and maybe find additional recommendations, leads, inspirations, etc.. Maybe in this way we find out that someone is interested in something that we didn’t expect and actually new connections or projects can emerge out of this?

In the spirit of the topic, I’m currently (and kinda always) thinking about “strategy in an ecology of actors”. By this I mean strategy that doesn’t take as its condition of possibility the existence of one big organization in which consensus can somehow be reached or decisions can be made which will then apply through all “subordinate” organizations. But a type of strategy that works without such a big coordinating/deciding organization and consensus.

Currently dipping my toes into "Strategy without Design. The Silent Efficacy of Indirect Action" by Robert C. H. Chia and Robin Holt from 2010.

Other texts that take up this topic (of which I haven’t read all) are Rodrigo Nunes’ wonderful “Neither Vertical nor Horizontal. A Theory of Political Organization.” , Alex Williams’ “Strategy without a Strategizer” and Adrienne Maree Brown’s “Emergent Strategy. Shaping Change, Changing Worlds

I’m currently reading two books by Meinhardt Creydt:

I think he deserves to be read more widely within the DEP circle, as he offers insightful perspectives on post-capitalism grounded in a solid critique of capitalism. Unfortunately, most of his work is only available in German.
