I recently came across Commons and democratic economic planning and am extremely fascinated by their potential for socio-ecological transformation.
I’m currently finishing my master’s degree in computer science and machine learning and am considering (until the end of the week) whether to accept a Ph.D. offer in sustainable biotechnology. I’d like to contribute more directly to the societal transformation of the system (rather than just a “techno-fix”).
I have particular expertise in computer science, physics, and machine learning. I’m also a mediator and enjoy working with the human side of systems (though I like to focus on the analytical side).
Do you have any recommendations on whom or which institutions I could contact regarding a Ph.D.?
What would be a leverage point where my skills could be put to the most effective use?
