I was inspired to make this post by the INDEP Talk by Pinsonnault and Tremblay-Pepin on models and modules. I think their distinction could serve as a useful basis for structuring categories here and for advancing the general discussion around Democratic Economic Planning.
- Models: Discussions at the level of whole models—comparing different approaches, evaluating pros and cons, etc. Tags could be used to indicate which model(s) are being discussed.
- Modules: Discussions focused on specific modules, such as workplace management, money/prices, reproduction, etc. In this case, it might make sense to create subcategories for each module rather than relying on tags.
- General: For broader discussions about DEP that don’t clearly fit into the “Models” or “Modules” categories.
- Practice/Politics: For discussing political strategies, parties, organizations, and social movements—serving as a practical counterpart to the forum’s more theoretical content.
